Hausable is one of the brightest startup companies in San Fransisco catering to the designing, drafting and permits needs of small uni-family residential projects.

We are looking for a full-time experienced draftsman with in-depth knowledge in AutoDesk Revit who can help us manage and deliver on our increasingly growing design requests list and develop our ongoing workflows and drafting systems. Applicants must also have precise knowledge of California Building Codes and the Conventions of Residential Construction.

A person may be deemed qualified if they:

1. 2+ years of experience in drafting residential projects using AutoDesk Revit (BIM)
2. Great knowledge of California Building Codes
3. Well-practiced in conventions of residential constructions
4. Acquainted with building permits process
5. Degree or training on engineering/architecture/construction area
6. Residing or willing to relocate to the San Fransisco Bay area and willing to work for standard office hours (9 am to 5 pm on weekdays).

The applicant must have the following skills:

1. Excellent communications in both written and verbal English
2. Can employ the uses of standard office software such as google dos, sheets, calendar, etc along with proficiency in Revit and other drafting software
3. Can follow directions precisely but also can make independent decisions when required so
4. Good understanding of residential and zoning codes
5. Can communicate to clients and other individuals related to our work
6. Willing to work on some weekends during crunch times

The key roles and responsibilities of the job will be:

1. Drafting conceptual and/or technical drawings for single-family homes in the California area
2. Examine and review various property data and zoning codes for proper compliance with standards
3. Liaising with local city or county building departments for clarifications or requirements when applicable
4. Seeking and identifying possible workflow improvements

1. Continually refine the drafting process to automate and reduce the time taken as much as possible while increasing accuracy and efficiency
2. Provide fast, cost-effective and code-compliant solutions to clients
