Some useful tips to create a gabled roof in Revit 2017
This revit video tutorial provides some useful revit tips for creating the design of a gable roof with Revit 2017 and adding it to the building.
In Revit 2017, it is possible to generate various types of roofs like flat roofs, gable roofs, and hip roofs by using the define slope property to lines of a roof boundary.
In Revit LT, one can apply the feature called slope arrow.
While creating a gable roof, you have to maintain the following :-
Ensure to produce your sketch properly. As soon as it is finished and everything is connected, then you should settle the slopes.
When you are in sketch mode, you have to decide which lines will define the slope. The default is that all line describe the slopes thus the hip roof. As soon as you choose a line (in sketch mode) you get the option to uncheck the slope definition on your tool bar. Uncheck the lines that which are necessary for your gabled ends.
